Emperors
Last seen on the east coast in November, Perth-based Emperors are heading back on tour in February in support of their latest single Plastic Guns, supporting reformed punk rockers Antiskeptic in Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia and playing a couple of extra Melbourne dates, including a headline show at Revolver Upstairs with special guests Undercolours, Them Swoops and The Pretty Littles.
Plastic Guns has been receiving rotation on Triple J for the past few months and is the first taste of Emperors’ forthcoming debut album Stay Frosty, out in April on Gun Fever Music. The track is available now as a free download from emperorsmusic.com and a limited edition physical copy of the single (including exclusive b-side and live favourite Last Call) will be available at Emperors shows.
In just over two years together as a band, Emperors have been support to acts such as Manic Street Preachers, Silversun Pickups, The Big Pink, Shihad, British India, Front End Loader and many more, and undertaken three national tours in support of their debut EP Sam, in addition to a hometown WAMi award for Most Promising Act.
