Roussemoff

Inculent 3

Comprised of two basses and drums, Roussemoff take an agressive and minimal approach to all things big and rumbly. Formed in 2007 and comprised of members of rhythm sections from A State of Flux, Sleep Parade and Johnny Uppercut, the Melbourne-based trio draws from a diverse range of sonic influences, from Meshuggah, My Disco and Sunn O))), to Autechre, Earth and The Dillinger Escape Plan.
The strong rhythmic basis, pant-flappingly low frequencies and attention to deep groove is what catalyzes Roussemoff's lasting impact on both audiences and fellow musicians alike.

"If you haven’t heard these guys but dig your plodding, bass-based doom, then you definitely want to head over to their Bandcamp page and get this release." - Metalobsession.net

With secret direct-to-tape location recordings currently in the works, and with a year of numerous guerrilla recording projects behind them - including a tracking session inside the now-demolished Amcor printing and packaging facility - Roussemoff are rolling out a special limited-edition handmade version of their 'R(live.01)' EP, available through their website (www.roussemoff.org) from Tueday 1st of May; the digital version version is available as a free download.
Mixed by Myles Mumford (Martin Martini and the Bone Palace Orchestra, Lamplight, Peter Knight) the EP in question is a run of 100 handmade/handprinted CD packages (ink printed on recycled brown card, acetate liner notes; lovely - hand rolled and handmade by the band themselves). Myles Mumford's organic approach works greatly to amplify Roussemoff's own uniquely organic approach to heaviness within the collection of live gems spanning two years of work.
