The xx announce new Melbourne show, donating all proceeds to charity

Missed out on tickets the first time? Act fast.

With just a few weeks to go until The xx return to Australia, the lauded British act have locked in a special encore show in Melbourne - all for a great cause.

Their previously announced Melbourne show sold out in a flash. Luckily for those who missed out, The xx have announced a second show with all proceeds split between local charities Heaps Decent and Minus 18.

Heaps Decent is an Australian based arts organisation that works alongside young people and emerging artists from disadvantaged communities.

“We're thrilled to get the support of The xx through this gig," reads a statement from the charity. "Making a return to the community through a shared love of music is the most perfect creative exchange we know of."

Meanwhile, Minus18 is an organisation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer (LGBTIQ) Youth Australia Wide. They tackle bullying and discrimination by creating spaces where LGBTIQ youth belong.

The xx will play Saturday January 13 at Sidney Myer Music Bowl (sold out) and Sunday January 14 at the Forum (new show). Get your tickets now
