The tribute show paying homage to some of the best rock'n'roll musicians

Put on your blue suede shoes.

Time for a '50s throwback; the Clocktower Centre is putting on a tribute show to arguably one of the golden eras of music, with The Songs That Made Memphis.

Sun Record Company in Memphis was the birthplace of some of the most legendary American acts, including Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and more. The record company was founded by Sam Phillips, whose work was instrumental in developing the 1950s rock'n'roll sound everyone knows and loves.

Paying homage to that authentic Memphis sound will be Sun Rising band members David Cosma, Damon Smith, Adrian Whyte, Adam Coad, Trent McKenzie and Cookie Baker. No doubt it'll be a toe-tapper of a time.

The Songs That Made Memphis will be rolling into the Clocktower Centre on Saturday March 9. For tickets, head to the venue website.
