Schapelle Corby has released a single and 2018 is ruined already

Drug smuggler. Avid bodyboarder. Pop star.

2018, you're already providing the goods.

Introducing Australia's new summer anthem, 'Palm Trees', featuring the vocal talents of none other than old mate Schapelle Corby.

Seeing as Corby had 12 years to come up with the track's lyrics during her 12-year stint in a Balinese slammer, you'd think 'Palm Trees' would be bolstered by some pretty strong songwriting. And guess what? You're damn well right.

"I'm in Queensland and it's sunny," sings Corby through some top-notch auto tune. "I have the palm trees, behind me."

Pure poetry.

But it gets better. Let's have a look at the second verse, shall we?

"Yeah she's back here to stay / She's in the sunshine state / Schapelle is her name and she's got something to say"

Bloody oath she's got something to say. Sing on, Schapelle. Sing on. Listen to your new favourite song below.

Stay tuned for tour dates, I guess? Otherwise, remember the time Melbourne threw a homecoming party for Schapelle
