Peter Hook To Perform Joy Division's Closer

Following on from the success of last year's tribute to Unknown Pleasures, Joy Division co-founder Peter Hook will once again be hitting our shores to pay tribute to another seminal classic.

Backed by his new band The Light, Hook will recreate Joy Division's second of two albums Closer live and in full. The album was the last release before the tragic suicide of troubled frontman Ian Curtis, and still stand today as a masterpiece.

The night is sure to be a loving, reverent recreation of the album, with ol' Hooky no doubt upholding his reputation as treating the Joy Division back catalogue with a great deal of respect.

Closer: A Joy Division Celebration With Peter Hook takes place at The Palace on Thursday April 12.
