Ozzy Osbourne, Slayer and Rise Against to headline Download Festival 2019
Including the famed former frontman of Black Sabbath.
After a hugely successful inaugural incarnation in 2018, Download Festival is back with a huge slate of rock heroes and heavy juggernauts.
At the top, two music heavyweights will be stepping Down Under on their respective farewell tours
Black Sabbath titan Ozzy Osbourne has been skating around the world on his No More Tours 2 run and his appearances at Download Festival will mark his final-ever shows. After five decades as an artist, Osbourne will celebrate his time at the head of Black Sabbath alongside his lucrative solo career.
Slayer is also calling it a day and have announced a closing run of shows for Download Festival. After 37 years and 12 studio albums, the Californian thrash metal outfit have secured their place in the Big Four alongside Megadeth, Metallica and Anthrax.
Alongside Ozzy Osbourne and Slayer come a swag of heavy music generals with Judas Priest, Alice In Chains, Ghost, Rise Against, The Amity Affliction, Anthrax, Behemoth, Frenzal Rhomb and heaps more set to perform.

Download Festival goes down at Sydney's Parramatta Park on Saturday March 9 and Melbourne's Flemington Racecourse on Monday March 11.
