The new interactive exhibition telling the story of Australia’s music history

Turning the volume up on the Australian Music Vault.

The groundbreaking venture comes as part of a new partnership between Arts Centre Melbourne and the ARIA. This will see the ARIA Hall of Fame incorporated within the Australian Music Vault and there will be a special section focussing on the Hall of Fame inductees with physical memorabilia and digital content.
The Australian Music Vault will also celebrate people and events that have shaped, and continue to shape, Australian contemporary music. Drawing on a rich pool of stories and items from leading Australian performers and music identities, it will become a drawcard for all music lovers, facilitating an immersive experience with digital and interactive encounters.
Coming as part of the Andrew Government Government’s $22.2 million Music Works initiative, the Australian Music Vault is set to completed in December.
According to Minister for Creative Industries, Martin Foley, the Australian Music Vault is a one-of-a-kind to get seriously excited about. ““The Australian Music Vault will turn up the volume on our local industry, providing a dedicated space to enjoy, celebrate and promote the successes of our nation’s music talent – past, present and future.
“This partnership with ARIA demonstrates and adds to the national significance of the Music Vault and Melbourne’s position as Australia’s music capital.”
