Mona Foma reveals futuristic Faux Mo 2019 lineup

Featuring a world-class set of DJs.

Mona Foma's iconic late-night dance party Faux Mo has unveiled its 2019 lineup, shining a spotlight on the overwhelming number of female and non-binary acts.

Going down in January next year, Faux Mo will play host to a massive lineup of local and international acts, including Afro-Portuguese club DJ Nidia, New York's Shyboi and Brissy hip hop legend Jesswar. The party isn't just confined to music, with Tassie drag queen Aurum Argentum performing alongside an ensemble of glamorous girlfriends.

It was revealed in October that Mona Foma's 2019 program will be housed in Launceston for the first time. According to the organisers, Faux Mo's lineup has been curated to fit right in with the boisterous Launceston crowd that go out on the weekend.

"We are inspired by the wild feeling of Launceston on a Saturday night and wanted to contribute by creating a club night that would be deeply inclusive, LGBTIQ-friendly, and dance-focused," said Faux Mo's co-director Willoh S. Weiland.
