Melbourne Free Pussy Riot Rally

Three members of the Russian punk band Pussy Riot have been in reprimand for months and face up to seven years in prison for performing a punk prayer in a Moscow cathedral earlier this year.

The case has captured the attention of leading musicians, including Faith No More and Patti Smith, who have called for Pussy Riot's release. Similar shows of support are expected across the nation including the release of a free Australian punk-rock compilation by Sydney-based music blog, My Sydney Riot (with Melbourne's own Damn Terran).
