Kurt Vile and Tropical Fuck Storm announce Melbourne gig

The double headliner you didn't know you needed.

If you've missed out on tickets to Kurt Vile & The Violators' now sold-out April show or Tropical Fuck Storm's upcoming Corner Hotel gig, don't worry your pretty little head because the two forces are teaming up for an extra special Melbourne appearance.

It seems Kurt Vile is picking up what Aussie musos are putting down, first teaming up with Courtney Barnett for joint album Lotta Sea Lice and now pairing with homegrown outfit Tropical Fuck Storm for a double headline gig at The Croxton Bandroom. The very thought of Vile's rambling, dreamy slacker-rock contrasted by Tropical Fuck Storm's ferocious, apocalyptic sound is enough to give you goosebumps, so you'd better believe this will be a gig not to be missed.

Vile is in the country touring his critically acclaimed album Bottle It In, while Tropical Fuck Storm have just dropped their latest single 'The Planet of Straw Men' — so here's hoping they've got some other fresh material up their sleeves. It's going to be a ripper, so jump on tickets before they sell out.

Kurt Vile and Tropical Fuck Storm hit Croxton Bandroom on Wednesday April 24. Tickets are on sale now.
