King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard's brand new track 'Cyboogie' is a certified banger

Get ready to groove.

Melbourne legends King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard dropped their newest single, 'Cyboogie' overnight, and it's not quite what anyone was expecting.

The psych-rock outfit have been suggesting for a while now that something new was in the works. The first hints of a new track came on Sunday January 20, when the Gizz posted on Instagram that new music was coming soon.

Obviously, this new track is a step away from what King Gizzard are known for. They've traded in the trademark psychedelic rock vibes for something a little more in Daft Punk's realm. The accompanying music clip looks like something that came straight out of the '70s, with frontman Stu MacKenzie looking like some kind of rejected Dalek prototype. Even though it's a bit of a surprise, no doubt 'Cyboogie' will be added to regular dancefloor rotations around the country in no time.
