King Gizzard & A.B. Original clean up at the 2017 Age Music Victoria Awards

The Teskey Brothers, Client Liaison and Paul Kelly also found success.

The 2017 Age Music Victoria Awards went down overnight as part of Melbourne Music Week and punters were privy to some first-class entertainment as Victoria's music achievers were honoured.
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard received the award for Best Band, Best Live Band and Best Song (for 'Rattlesnake') while A.B. Original were also multiple winners taking home awards for Best Album following the success of Reclaim Australia and Best Aboriginal Act.
Other award-winners were The Teskey Brothers, recognised as 2017's Best Emerging Act while The Tote and The Corner Hotel went back-to-back taking home Best Venues under and over 500 capacity respectively. Meredith Music Festival was also honoured as the Best Festival once again.
In celebration of all the success from the past year, the party went on well into the night as the likes of Harvey Sutherland & Bermuda, Cable Ties, Gold Class and party collective the EG Allstars Band tore through mesmerising sets. Captivating the crowd, the EG Allstars Band were backed by a lauded list of musicians, including Josh Teskey (The Teskey Brothers), Archie Roach, Gretta Ray, Ella Thompson (GL), Michelle Nicolle, Birdz, Mojo Juju and Jim Lawrie.
