Kimbra's sprawling EXO-TECH project to perform in Melbourne

The visionary New York collective is heading our way.

EXO-TECH -- led by NZ sensation Kimbra -- is set to perform in Melbourne, bringing an immersive set of live improvisation that blurs the boundaries of experimental, avant-garde, and pop music.

A collective of musicians from across New York and Brooklyn’s thriving creative music scene, the group explore the intersections of collective improvisation and pop song composition, traversing fields of modern pop and rnb alongside free jazz, no-wave, disco and film music

The group has featured some of the most respected music luminaries from New York and beyond, with collaborators that have included David Byrne, Questlove, Moses Sumney, Colin Stetson, Sean Lennon, Bilal and Caroline Polachek.

They'll perform at the State Theatre, Arts Centre on Wednesday July 18.
