Karnivool Announce Australian Tour
Karnivool have toured the world with their album 'Sound Awake' but now they're back home and planning to tour Australia throughout June and July.
Starting in Frankston, the band will travel along the East Coast all the way up to North Queensland before dropping back into Melbourne on the way to their their final show in Adelaide.
The tour is Karnivool's first in Australia since their New Day tour in June and July last year, but this doesn't mean they've been slacking off in between. After finishing their 2010 Australian tour, the band flew to the UK to plan on the main stage at Sonisphere Festival in the UK (along with Alice in Chains, Pendulum, Slayer and Iron Maiden) before touring in the US and Canada.
If that wasn't enough, they also battled Europe's winter, playing gigs throughout Europe and the UK where they sold out major venues like Scala in London and Amsterdam's Melkweg. Amongst all that touring Karnivool have been writing and rehearsing some new material that will be previewed on their Australian tour, the first airing of new tracks since Sound Awake.
Karnivool have already sold out their two Melbourne gigs in early June, causing them to add an extra show in July. If you can't make that show, you can see them kick off their tour in Frankston on June 8.
Tickets are still available for Karnivool's show at the Corner Hotel on Wednesday July 6 through the Corner's website. Tickets for the Frankston show are being sold via Ticketmaster and OzTix.
