Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner announce joint album

The ultimate dream team.

The National's Aaron Dessner and Bon Iver's Justin Vernon have joined forces once again, this time opting to release a joint album under the collaborative moniker Big Red Machine.

The pair have worked together numerous times, launching their music festival Eaux Claires in 2015 before unveiling their digital music publishing platform, PEOPLE, the following year. This time, however, we see the duo on a more creative pursuit, melding their musical talents for the project.

Big Red Machine have already released four tracks from their forthcoming debut self-titled album, which is due to drop next month, giving a taste of what's we can expect from the duo. Big Red Machine will be released through PEOPLE as well as other digital streaming platforms, CD, vinyl and cassette.

Big Red Machine drops on Friday August 31 via PEOPLE and Jagjaguwar.
