Genesis Owusu is heading on an east coast tour

The rapper also has some new music up his sleeve.

If you're yet to get around Australian Ghanaian hip-hop artist Genesis Owusu, you're sleeping at the wheel. Since making the top five finalists in Triple J Unearthed High School competition at 17 before winning the Unearthed Laneway competition in 2016, Genesis has been on the up and up.

At only 20 years old, the rapper has been frequenting the stage of late - supporting the likes of Cosmo's Midnight, Noname, Safia and Aminé this year alone. Upon releasing his debut EP Cardrive and singles 'Sideways' and 'Awomen, Amen', Genesis' unique style of poetry-infused rap has been lauded by fans and industry peers alike.

Ahead of his forthcoming Lost Paradise and Hills Are Alive Festival slots, Genesis Owusu has announced a string of east coast shows which will see him hitting Melbourne, Sydney and his hometown Canberra in November. Not only will he be treating fans to some live shows before the year's out, but Genesis has announced he will be sharing new music ahead of the tour, so keep your ear to the ground.

Catch Genesis Owusu at The Workers Club on Thursday November 22. Grab your ticket here.
