Cherry Rock lock in Brant Bjork to complete 2017 lineup

A seminal element of the Californian desert rock scene, Brant Bjork has spent over a quarter of a century shaping music with his distinct style. Now, he's heading Down Under as part of the impressive CherryRock017 lineup.

As the drummer and founder of influential stoner-rock band Kyuss and an integral force behind Fu Manchu's iconic fuzz from 1994 to 2001 – Bjork has carved his own path through the history of rock.
Last year saw the release of his seventh solo album, Tao of the Devil, featuring frequent backing collaborators The Low Desert Punk Band. No stranger to the festival scene, he launched the first annual Desert Generator Festival in the same year – a weekend long event in the Southern California desert.
Cherry Rock will see Bjork playing on the AC/DC Lane Main Stage with special guest and fellow Californian, Throw Rag frontman Sean Wheeler. They join an already incredible list of talented acts, including Shihad, Dwarves, Nashville Pussy, Totally Unicorn, Child, Mooner, Zombitches performing for this year's incarnation.

CherryRock017 hits two stages in AC/DC Lane and the Cherry Bar main stage on Sunday May 7. Tickets via the Cherry Bar.
