Bic Runga announces intimate Melbourne show

Bic Runga has forged an impressive career after bursting onto the charts in 1997 and now she's touching down in Melbourne for a special show.

Sway rekindles all the nostalgic feels of the '90s and rose a burgeoning New Zealand songstress to fame. After taking time away from music, Runga is back and brings news that she's working on a new LP set to be released later this year.

Speaking of her long-awaited return to Australia, Runga says, "I'm excited to be back in Australia, playing songs from the new album Close Your Eyes as well as a lot of material from the new best of that marks 20 years of my time in music.

"The band is made up of bass, guitar, keyboards and drums, as well as a beautiful concert harp so people can expect my full band experience. I think the music will suit the halls we've chosen. I can't wait to be there."

Bic Runga performs at the Memo Music Hall on Friday June 9. Tickets via TryBooking.
