Belleville are hosting a groovalicious funk night this Friday

Umlaut and Sludge Party are here to get you into the groove.

Time to get your funk on, because groove extraordinares Umlaut and Sludge Party are getting weird this Friday at Belleville.

Umlaut is the side project of Bar McKinnon, the former saxophonist from US experimental rock band Mr. Bungle. McKinnon's work is, in every sense of the term, simply weird and shares similarites with the stylings of Melbourne experimental weirdos Sex on Toast.

To support Umlaut is Sludge Party, the self-described "anti heroes of swamp tango". Armed with a baritone sax, bass clarinet and percussion, Sludge Party will help you get your groove on with their honky fuzz and otherworldly sounds.

Umlaut and Sludge Party are playing at Belleville from 9pm on Friday October 19. Entry is free.
