Australasian World Music Expo Second Announcement

The Australasian World Music Expo (AWME) have gone and announced an ace second wave of national and international artists for this year’s showcase program.

Additions to the 2011 lineup include the phenomenal Afro-Jazz legend Mulatu Astatke, Black Jesus Experience, the rocksteady reggae icon Stranger Cole, the mighty 30 piece Melbourne Ska Orchestra, the soulful grooves of Vika & Linda Bull and the electro-gypsy mash up sounds of DJ Click.


These fantastic artists will perform along with previously announced acts including The Dynamites featuring Charles Walker, Katchafire, Iration Steppas, Iconic Songs featuring Archie Roach, Shane Howard and Neil Murray, Public Opinion Afro Orchesta, Lotek, Skipping Girl Vinegar, We Don’t Dance For No Reason featuring Aaron Choulai with his ensemble VADA & The Tatana Village Choir, Stiff Gins, and Bobby Alu.



AWME 2011 will take place from Thursday November 17 until Sunday November 20 at the Arts Centre, Melbourne Recital Centre, The Hi-Fi and The Toff in Town. Tickets and full lineup at the official site.
