Augie March set to play at the new Geddes Lane Ballroom

The venue looks a little different this time round.

Melbourne classics Augie March are set to take the stage of the newly facelifted Geddes Lane Ballroom later on this month.

Hot off the heels of releasing their sixth studio album, Bootikins, and their national tour in May, Augie March are ready to hit the road again. Bootikins was the band's first album in four years, but Augie promise to play hits from the range of records they've released over nearly two decades.

Geddes Lane opened its doors to the public yesterday following a recent launch party. The poles from the former strip club have been taken down with a decked out sound system taking its place. Having already sold out a bunch of shows in the new space, the venue is pumped to bringing live music back to such an iconic location, and Augie March is thrilled to be one of them.

"We’re more excited about our audience than ever, crossing as it does over almost every age group, and never backward in coming forward."

Augie March are playing at the Geddes Lane Ballroom from Friday November 23 to Saturday November 24. For tickets, visit the Geddes Lane website.
