An all-star jazz tribute to Amy Winehouse is going down in Melbourne

Featuring the best of Melbourne's jazz scene.

Improvisational mavens Uncomfortable Science are set to conduct a night of jazz-infused groove when they interpret the catalogue of Amy Winehouse as part of this year's Melbourne Music Week program.
Supplying his band with the chords alone, musical director Lachlan Mitchell (Jazz Party) will conduct a trio of musicians as they move through an unidentified Winehouse song. Songs will be revealed at the end, unless guessed first by savvy audience members and fans.
To host the night, Melbourne-based pop culture podcasters Angus Leslie (Sex on Toast) and Jean Lizza from Quality Time with Jean & Angus will provide hilarious insight into the world of improvised music.

It’s taking place at The Toff In Town on Wednesday November 22, and tickets also include entry to the Amy Winehouse: A Family Portrait exhibition at the Jewish Museum. More details here
