The Age Music Victoria Awards lock in huge lineup for their after party

This is a doozy.

Coinciding with Melbourne Music Week comes the Age Music Victoria Awards where the state's premier music talent will be honoured for their work over the past year.

It's not an awards night without a huge after party and that's where some stellar local bands come in. Harvey Sutherland & Bermuda, Gold Class and Cable Ties will all be performing live at 170 Russell as everyone revels in all the stories and accolades of the past year.

The names don't stop there. Behind the elusive title, the EG Allstars, are some of Australia's foremost voices. If I was to say Josh Teskey (The Teskey Brothers), Archie Roach, Gretta Ray, Ella Thompson (GL), Michelle Nicolle, Birdz, Mojo Juju, Jim Lawrie (performing Big Smoke) and DJ MzRizk were going to combine as part of one orchestra you'd think I'd be joking.

But I'm not - it's all part of the huge gift Melbourne Music Week is giving us this November.

It all goes down on Wednesday November 22. Get your tickets through the MMW website.
