60 Seconds With... The Lockhearts

So then, what's the band name and what do you 'do' in the band?

We're called The Lockhearts from Sydney, NSW. I'm Tim, you'll see me on vocals and guitar.

Bearing the terrible clichéd nature of this question, what do you reckon people will say you sound like ?

Our sound is rooted in classic rock, but with a modern edge, we draw influence from a lot of '70s and '80s artists like Aerosmith, Cheap Trick and Guns N Roses to more modern acts like Foo Fighters and Velvet Revolver.

If you could travel back in time and show one of your musical heroes your stuff, who would it be and why?

Well most of my musical heroes are still alive, so if I could travel back in time I would probably just kidnap a dinosaur or try to save the clock tower.

If you could assassinate one person or band from popular music, who would it and why?

Anyone but Howard Moon, he's just got so much to give.

What can a punter expect from your live show?

A raw, and raucous "Don't bore us, get to the chorus!" attitude. Snarling and loud with skin-tight denim in all the right places, scorching guitar solos, filthy rock grooves, and stratospheric screams from front-man and fans alike, you'll actually be able to feel the good vibrations - or so I'm told!

What 've you got to sell CD-wise?

Our debut EP Entrance & Exit Only, being released for the first time in Melbourne at the following shows!

When's the gig and with who?

Thursday November 24 at The Brunswick Hotel, Friday November 25 at The Espy and Saturday November 26 at The Prague.

Anything else to add?

You can download our single Nothing To Me on iTunes now.
