Angus And Julia Stone Number One

The cutely-ditsy brother and sister team, Angus and Julia Stone will soon have no place left on the matlepiece to display their extensive array of awards. Coming in at number one on Triple J's Hottest 100 with Big Jet Plane has been only one of their many achievements since they released their second album Down The Way in March last year.

At the Rolling Stone Awards in Sydney earlier this week, the hippy siblings were announced Artist of the Year while the 2010 ARIAs slapped a whole five awards onto them including Single of the Year (Big Jet Plane) and Album of the Year. Not to mention that Down the Way also hit number four on itunes in France. FRANCE!

For 27 weeks, the harmonic duo was the number one artist for staying at the ARIA top ten albums chart. Impressive!

Also, let's not forget that their last name is the same as the name of a pretty goddam famous band. Sometimes the Sydney musicians are even referred to as "The Stones".

What some have labelled as "pretentious wank", others see as whacky, artistic creativity.

But opinions aside, the fact remains - they're number one!
