Darren Hanlon Announces Aussie Tour And EP
Indie-folk troubadour Darren Hanlon is pleased to announce his first Australian tour since the release of his critically acclaimed 2010 release I Will Love You At All.
See Darren Hanlon at Brisbane's The Zoo on Saturday February 26, Lismore City Bowling Club on Sunday February 27, Newcastle's Gallipoli Legions Club on Thursday March 3, Sydney's Factory Theatre on Friday March 4, Fly By Night in Fremantle on Saturday March 5, Adelaide's Jive on Wednesday March 9, Melbourne's Thornbury Theatre on Thursday March 10, and the Port Fairy Folk Festival on Friday March 11.
To coincide with the nationwide tour, Darren will release Butterfly Bones, a digital EP available from iTunes on February 18.
Lead track and live favourite Butterfly Bones is the third single taken from I Will Love You At All, and is a bouncy, mostly acoustic song about an easily broken girl. Darren weaves together a narrative in his lyrics and creative instrumentation to form charming, catchy folk songs, which is what he does best.
Also featuring on the Butterfly Bones EP are brand new songs Cloudy Mind, I Waited For The 17 and a stripped-back folk version of critics favourite Scenes From a Separation, featuring the delicate harmonies of Shelley Short (USA) and Alia Farah (USA).
Don't miss your chance to catch Darren Hanlon this February and March.
He plays at the Thornbury Theatre in Melbourne on Thursday March 10 at 8pm, presented by Beat. Tickets are $24+bf general admission, $29+bf reserved seating, and $64+bf for the show with dinner included. Book them now here.
