What do you reckon people will say you sound like? Someone said to me after a show recently that I could be the female James Bay. I’m not going tocomplain with that one. Although I’m obsessed with alternative female pop performers like FlorenceWelch and Meg Mac.
What do you love about making music? I love hearing the final mix of a track and looking back on all the memories of writing that song fromthe ground up. Whether that song took a day or a whole year to complete, I find so much beauty inthe creative process and getting it to the final product.
If you could travel back in time and show one of your musical heroes your stuff who would it be? Amy Winehouse. I respect her music so much and I think if I showed her my musicshe would tell me exactly what she thought. I’m all about brutal honesty.
If you could assassinate one person or a band from popular music who would it be?
Probably Eaglemont because her song Texas is incredible and I’d like to pretend that I wrote it.
What can a punter expect from your live show? Groovy, electric guitar vibes are definitely at the forefront of my live shows. I have two amazing guitarists in my band that create such an explosive and exciting energy. I have quite a big set upon stage, there will be nine of us.
