Youth Lagoon

After playing to sold out crowds in February and drawing huge crowds at SXSW, Youth Lagoon returns to our shores for Splendour in the Grass. Twenty-two year old Trevor Powers will visit The Corner on Sunday July 29 with guests Sures and Thrupence, and we have a double pass plus his CD to give away. You want to go tell us what you were doing or will be doing when you're 22.

When was 22 I married my 34 year old college art professor, had my own solo art show at a prestigious gallery and bought my own house! Too bad things went down hill from there, ha ha!

When I was 22 my ex fiancé cheated on me right before we were suppose to get married. I told my ring and sold it to a pawn shop then went to Bali for 3 weeks and partied.

that is a whole year away, and since the world is going to end in 2012 i guess i will be floating through space in the form of sub-atom particles and space junk when i turn 22. it will be peaceful at least- justin bieber's atoms won't be able to make any noise in space....

At 22 I remember being laughed at in High School for wearing a onesie on mufty day :( Or maybe it was because I was still at High School at 22? Well who's laughing now 'coz onesies are back in fashion!!!

I didnt tell anyone i turned 22 because I achieved none of the shit i wanted to by that time and I stayed home and wallowed in self-pity. Pretty much nothing has changed...
