Wavves

Visiting in May for a national Groovin’ The Moo festival tour, undisputed Kings of the Beach – Wavves – will be playing a sideshow at The Corner, and we have a couple of double passes to give away. You may know them for their fun surf pop and noise punk such as tracks I Wanna Meet Dave Grohl and King of the Beach, or you may know them for their exciting and quirky live shows. Or you may also have read about them or are a friend or relative. Regardless, they play The Corner with Sures and The Murlocs on Wednesday May 9 and we have some passes to give away. So tell us why you wanna meet Dave Grohl for your chance to win.

Okay, so Dave Ghrol is not only a legendary muso in all rights, but is now officially solidified his legendarity by making a cameo appearance on The Muppets movie. You know you've made it when you're hanging with Miss Piggy...

because I had a dream he was drumming for grizzly bear at some random festival and got me to snort a line of coke off an ironing board on stage and then I was in a carpark lying on a giant furry bear car and then I got stuck on a train full of baby dave grohls and then I think I drank champagne with Justin timberlake and tom hanks on a float.....

Because at the rate he collaborates I'd probably be a fair chance to end up in an awesome band with him. He could play drums, bass, guitar and sing, while I tap out some sick beats on the triangle.

I would like to meet Dave Grohl and ask him if he would be keen to come to my joint for a BBQ and beers, and chill out and hear him tell stories of his life and find out what is next for the legendary man.
