Rites of Passage

Rites of Passage Tattoo Convention and Arts Festival is a three day event, held from Friday April 27 to Sunday April 29, at the Royal Exhibition Building in the Carlton Gardens. The festival aims to take you on a journey to lands forgotten, and cultures undiscovered to re-explore the real reason why people get tattooed in both the modern and ancient world. Appearing at the festival will be over 200 tattoo artists from around the world, including Shige (Japan), Jeff Gogue (USA), Nick Baxter (USA), and Victor Portugal (Poland), plus a bevvy of local Australian artists. We have two double passes to give away. Tell us what your next tattoo plans are for your chance to win a ticket.

"I'm going to get the grim reaper on my shoulder, cos death is always looking over me, then "carpe diem" across my shoulders, then I'm going to get a Coi fish because i just relate to and understand eastern culture profoundly (i already have chinese symbols for strength and wisdom down my forarm). then I'm going to get some sick tribal work done on my arm, because sometimes (when i'm not at the office) i do an ancient tribal meditation technique to help me gain confidence (which i need in order to continue to perform so extremely well as executive business manager at ANZ head office), and basically just because i understand ALL types of people (except the gays) and want to show the ladies that i am not just successful and ridiculously good looking, but that i am also CULTURED as well"

My next tattoo will be on my arm and will be a ship in a bottle with the scoll that says "you are my little sinking ship". The line is a lyric from a Wil Wagner and The Smith Street band song which is about the love of his sister. The song and the tattoo idea reminds me of the love I have for my sister

I thought I commented on this ages ago... Anyway,

I'm planning on getting a grotesque 2 headed baby sitting on a brain with wasps & hornets flying around one side of it, on my right upper arm. Ye!
