Big Day Out

i was about to buy a ticket until Kanye popped up and said 'I'mma let you finish, but Future has the best line-up of all time...'

Fortunately I have three young children, Unfortunately that's where any savings capacity goes...

I am on a disability pension and it's hard enough to find the cash to go to one-off gigs, let alone a feast of bands like the Big Day Out. There are so many bands that I want to see at the BDO - especially My Chemical Romance, The Living End and Boy & Bear. I would be eternally grateful if I was to win the tix.

no money. I was hoping for tickets as an xmas present from my parents but that didn't happen. And after breaking up work on the 22nd there's no work for me until feb!

I lost my job and my wife and I are having new kid on the way. I have some new priorities now but I sure was looking forward to going. It may be the last time I get to endulge in being young and free before I have to take care of a baby.

We've just moved house and we've been cheated out of our bond return by the new tenants! It's a dire situation in my financial world right now.

not a very good reason but it just simply because i was broke and couldnt afford them, awesome line up but just not enough not enough cash to allow me to buy tickets! :)

I haven't had a chance to put on my Sunday best since I went to Sears last year.

As the "Big Day Out veteran", I just do not see how this Big day out is worth paying for. Not just for myself, but for anyone! What the tickets are $160 and who is on the line-up?... Who?.. Is anyone interested in seeing more than one of these performers? Surely it would be cheaper just to go to the Kasabian Big Day Out sideshow.

My brother decided to get married in South America so I am madly trying to save so I can be there... it has put a major crimp in my social and music life :(

I was planning on going to BDO I had the money and everything and than I was at a cafe with my good friend the day before tickets went on sale and my laptop was sitting on the chair next to me and my good friend ran in and sat on the laptop shattering the screen! I took it to a computer repairs shop and its going to cost $350 to replace the screen after having to pay that i had no money left to pay for a BDO ticket :(

I'm just broke! I'd spend the money on Soundgarden alone! but not on Noel Gallagher, no way!

As much as I want to go see the incredible line-up, including my favourite band who will be going back into the studio after this, the bands that my friends are playing in and getting the chance to do some work experience in live sound, I've had to pay out a heap of money to get my car fixed, I still have bills to pay which I haven't paid yet.. and even without all those expenses, none of my friends can afford to or want to buy a $160 ticket and come with me, so Big Day Out alone wouldn't be such a great big day out! But you could change all that Beat Magazine! I would be eternally grateful!!!

I'm taking a leaf from Charlie Sheen and trying my hand at WINNING!

My excuse? No kaching ching to buy tickets. And the line up is good, average. But not brilliant 'overall' to pay so much just to see a couple of amazing bands...

The truth is... I didn't buy a ticket because I'm still hoping that the amazingly handsome, man of my dreams, Killian Gavin (Boy and Bear- vocalist/guitarist) is going to, out of nowhere, pick me up in their tour van and take me with him to BDO to watch him play from backstage, then spend the rest of the festival on the cutest first date. I will be waiting, patiently until 29th of January listening to the Rabbit Song on repeat until he knocks on my front door with flowers, ready to sweep me off my feet.

And if he doesn't, I could always enter a competition and go in the draw to win free passes, that way I can still spend the day with the man of my dreams, There may just be security railing in between us...

I guess my excuse is the whole money thing. I'm pretty tight with my cash and I have been spending that small amount on other gigs (Arctic Monkeys, The Horrors and going to the Kasabian sideshow) and I have to save it even more since I am going to uni soon and gonna have the whole "poor uni student" tag surrounding me. I guess I just really want to go because theres some absolutely great bands there and I know I would have a great time! I'd do anything for a ticket, seriously, I have no shame. This would be my first festival if I go to too and I really want to experience it and where better than at the Big Day Out? ;)
