Albare

Australian jazz guitarist Albare has recently completed a six-date jazz club tour in Europe, playing in France, Italy, Germany, Holland and the UK and is now returning home for a string of shows - he'll also be joined by Hendrik Meurkens, a virtuoso on both the chromatic harmonica and the vibraphone. We've got a double pass to show at Bennett's Lane gig on Wednesday August 8 plus copies of Albare iTD's Long Way and Hendrik Meurkens' Celebrando to giveaway. So if you could see Albare perform in any country, which would it be and why?

I'd love to see Albare perform in Israel. As a fluent hebrew speaker and with his strong links to Israel, I think Albare would thrive in that environment

Having recorded and toured in recent years with a lineup that has stemmed from all parts of the European continent (is Mexico still part of Europe?) the natural choice for the next stop in the ITD itineary would have to be Azerbaijan. After establishing itself as the new 'centrale de la creative', Azerbaijan, with it's recent and derserved success at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, confirmed what many already suspected, in that it's hot on the heels of it's predessor East Berlin, as the "it' place to play and be seen...! Besides it may be the closest thing we get to true local representation at Eurovision in the future - so Go, Aussie, Go!!
