Soundwave 2012 Announcement This Week

Though promising not to drip-feed the official announcement, many hints and pseudo-confirmations have taken place over the past few months.

Soundwave Revolution refugees Hole, The Used, Machine Head, Sisters Of Mercy, Steel Panther and Danzig look set to be rescheduling for the Soundwave proper.

Earlier in the year festival producer promised an hour of Weezer at Soundwave 2012, with it now looking likely that Saves The Day will complement (or redeem) Good Charlotte's impending visit by performing Weezer's Pinkerton in full, as well as a set of their own tracks.

While bands such as CKY and Trivium have hinted they will be making the trip over for the festival, there is still no hint as to who will be taking the big name headlining slots. Rumours/wishlists include No Doubt, Rush and Slipknot.
