The Smashing Pumpkins Sideshow

Following last Friday’s record sellout of this year’s Splendour in the Grass, The Smashing Pumpkins have announced their Melbourne sideshow.

The Pumpkins will also be debuting a unique stage design in Australia created to reflect the visual themes to go along with the full presentation of their new album, Oceania – which is set for release this June 22. 

 

Speaking of the new show, frontman Billy Corgan noted "Australia is the perfect place to usher in a new era of The Smashing Pumpkins, where we look to combine an epic rock show with the latest in visual mapping technology to create a one-of-a-kind experience for our fans.”

 

They'll also be joined by none other than Wolfmother.

The Smashing Pumpkins play Hisense Arena on Thursday August 2.
