No Good Vibrations For 2012
Sad news for music fans - the 2012 instalment of Good Vibrations has been scrapped.
Despite a stellar 2011 lineup, ticket sales were well short of expectations -a fact compunded by the late withdrawals of Cee-Lo Green and Janelle Monae.
The festival initially planned to hold the touring event later in 2012 as opposed to the traditional early-year schedule, but today it has been announced that this year's festival will not go ahead in any form.
The official statement reads as follows:
Citing competitive demand for artists resulting in higher artist fees, unpredictable weather and a shifting live music market, Good Vibrations Festival owner and CEO, Justin Hemmes, confirmed, “We will not be going ahead with the Festival this year. We will be in touch in due course regarding plans for 2013.”
Stay tuned for further developments.

It's a shame 2011 was so undersold, Erykah Badu performed the best festival set I've ever seen.
