The Manhattan Short Film Festival Returns To The Astor

After a tumultuous year of fear about an imminent shutdown and being saved from such an abhorrent demise by millionaire cinema-lover Ralph Taranto, The Astor Theatre is returning to the limelight with The Manhattan Short Film Festival.

Running from 7.30pm on Wednesday October 3, cinema-lovers are encouraged to attend the night to judge, and vote for, 10 finalist films for the international festival. Featuring entries from Norway, Romania, Spain and the USA to name a few, The Manhattan Short Film Festival is an annual event that runs over 250 countries.

It is a cultural integration of film and nations in an effort to declare the best short film of the year that will be announced in New York City on Sunday October 7 at 10pm.  This year featured 520 entries from 49 different countries which were filtered to the top 10 that will play at The Astor Theatre this October.

Tickets and more information about the event, including session times, can found at The Astor Theatre. Information about the finalists of the The Manhattan Short Film Festival can be found here. The Manhattan Short Film Festival will feature at The Astor Theatre at 7.30pm on Wednesday October 3.
