The four most suave motherfuckers in Australian rock and roll: Nick Cave, Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey and Jim Sclavunos, collectively known as Grinderman will headline the 21st Meredith Music Festival this December.
It seems only fitting, doesn’t it? Finally, the Victorian-born Nick Cave will take to the stage and wreak havoc on the beloved country jamboree that holds an extra special place in the heart of every Australian festival goer. His violin wielding partner-in-crime, Warren Ellis, is of course no stranger to the Amphitheatre, taking to the Meredith stage several times with The Dirty Three, including the infamous electrical storm performance in 2004.
The full line up will be announced on later next month, but Aunty Meredith has already shared the fact that tickets will remain the same price as 2010, the festival will remain at the same capacity and the No Dickheads policy is still in full force. Giddy up kids, it’s gonna’ be a wild ride.
