Curiosity is building around the location of MMW’s mysterious festival hub Where?House. New artists have been added to the hub’s lineup including international electronic maestros Richard Devine, Vladislav Delay, Troy Pierce, Floating Points, Alexander Nut, Teebs, Africa Hitech, Matias Aguayo, Radio Slave and DJ MADD, alongside Australians Naysayer & Gilsun, Favela DJs, Oscar O’Bryan, Oliver Tank, Mitzi, Lost Animal, No Zu, Harmonic 313, Tantrums, Isaac Fryar, Animals Dancing DJs, Future Classic DJs, Affiks and A13.

Alongside the evening entertainment, Where?House will have a variety of day-time activities including a retro clothing market and dining hall, featuring Fancy Hanks, Huxtaburger, Fat Brats, Touche Hombre and Supreme coffee from Cavillero. There will also be a series of workshops, film screenings, Mess + Noise ‘Lunch Box Series’ and the Intel® Ultrabook™ Wi-Fi Lounge.

The final location and lineup additions for the Label Series events sees Cutters Records and Two Bright Lakes stage a one-off electro-indie show at the National Gallery of Victoria. Tim Sweeney, Teengirl Fantasy, Collarbones, Ben Browning, Knightlife, Nile Delta and TBL DJs will make this a uniquely Melbourne event in an unmistakably Melbourne venue. This announcement rounds out the Labels Series, in which four of Melbourne’s favourite independent labels showcase the best talent in unusual spaces. Siberia Records already announced gig is set to take place in the famed underground car park at Melbourne Uni, while Chapter Music is celebrating their 20-year anniversary with a retrospective taking over the 140-year-old North Melbourne Town Hall.

After already announcing Nick Huggins and band presenting a live score of I Am Eleven as part of Cinemix at ACMI, MMW have added the legendary Goblin to the film program. Having scored some of the most famous horror soundtracks of all time, the Italian progressive rock maestros will play their legendary Suspiria  soundtrack for the first time in 35 years, live and exclusively for MMW.

The Live Music Safari will offer a snapshot of the diversity of Melbourne’s thriving music scene. In venues large and small, new and old, grungy and chic, jazz, hip-hop, rock, techno and every genre in between play side-byside-by-side. Ten of Melbourne’s most famed music venues will host 40 bands and DJs for one day and night. All for free. King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Frowning Clouds, Grey Ghost, Millions, Lowtide, Bennetts Lane Big Band, Eagle and the Worm, Barbariön, Able and more will take the floor at 1000 £ Bend, Bennett’s Lane, Revolt Melbourne, Pony, Cherry Bar, John Curtin Hotel, Section 8, The Toff in Town, Mercat and the Town Hall Hotel North Melbourne.
