Falls Fest Third Announcement
The very tasty trickle of announcements for the 2011 Falls Music & Arts Festival continues with an eclectic third announcement.
Following the freakin' awesome first two announcements, the third reveal contains the ever-dapper Aloe Blacc, who crushed it as a last minute announcement at this year's Good Vibrations; freakish synth maestro Dan Deacon, who will be fresh from collaborating with Francis Ford Coppola (!) on his latest film; rising indie-pop star Emma Louise; returning after their sensational 2009 Falls appearance will be The Kooks; Melbourne darling Missy Higgins; and rounding out the announcement is soothing French collective Nouvelle Vague.
Aaaaand immediately after that announcement, yet another batch of acts were revealed.
Fresh from burning down the house at this year's Big Day Out, Jim Jones Revue inject the lineup with a potent dose of rock 'n' roll mayhem. Comedian Josh Thomas will bolster the Falls' comedic lineup, which already contains American Arj Barker. UK dance-pop outifit Metronomy will bring their delectable strain of IDM. Briefly dormant dance duo Pnau will bring their classics, as well as material from their forthcoming record. And to top it all off, Young MC will no doubt have you ready to bust a move.
The Falls Music & Arts Festival takes place from December 28 in Lorne, or December 29 in Tassie's Marion Bay. You can enter the Falls Festival ballot at their official site before August 5. Remaining tickets go on sale August 17.
