It'll be the first time the BRIT and Mercury Prize winner visits the country in over six years.

British singer-songwriter Beth Orton will be heading down under this November for three big headlining shows. In support of her latest album, Weather Alive, she’ll be starting out at Melbourne’s Recital Centre before heading north to Sydney and Brisbane.

Australian fans haven’t gotten the chance to see Orton play live since her Kidsticks tour in June 2017. She’ll be bringing a five-piece band with her for the upcoming performances, giving listeners the chance to hear tracks from her impressive career in all of their glory.

Released last year, Weather Alive received an abundance of critical acclaim. Self-produced in Orton’s London home studio, the eight-song album features collaborations with jazz poet Alabaster dePlume, The Smile drummer Tom Skinner, multi-instrumentalist Shahzad Ismaily and The Invisible bassist Tom Herbert.

Following the album’s release, Orton hit some of the biggest festivals, delivering captivating sets at Primavera Sound and Glastonbury before hitting the road through the UK and Europe with The War On Drugs.

Spanning nearly three decades, Orton’s storied musical career knows no bounds. From her work with The Chemical Brothers, Andrew Weatherall, Red Snapper and William Orbit to her cruisy trip-hop solo music, she’s an unstoppable force of creativity. Bringing together undefinable experimentalism with killer songwriting chops, Orton just keeps getting better with time.

On tour this spring, she’ll be celebrating Weather Alive as well as featuring tracks from across her seven albums including unforgettable hits such as Stolen Car, She Cries Your Names and Stars All Seem To Weep.
