Wangaratta Jazz Festival Lineup Announced

 Heading a huge lineup of international and Australian talent at The Wangaratta Jazz Fest will be Grammy Award-winning US jazz singer Kurt Elling, now established as the most accomplished and acclaimed jazz singer on the international circuit.

Alongside him will be international guests including US saxophonist Oliver Lake, a founding member of the World Saxophone Quartet performing with his Organ Quartet, Portugese vocalist Sara Serpa, Belgian pianist Jef Neve and his Trio, Dutch Saxophonist Yuri Honing and his Quartet, the Swedish Jazz Kings featuring British trombonist Roy Williams, Melbourne-now-Tokyo-based pianist Aaron Choulai and US blues singer and guitarist Debbie Davies. Then there’s the homegrown contingent including James Morrison, Mick Nock, Andrea Keller, Joe Chindamo, Bernie McGann, Allan Browne, Stu Hunter, Jonathan Zwartz, Kristin Berardi, Johannes Buebbers, Geoff Bull, The Catholics, Sarah McKenzie, The Dilworths and the finals of the National Jazz Awards – this year featuring brass instruments! This year, the Blues Marquee will also host Aussie talent including Diesel, The Backsliders, Dutch Ilders, Ray Beadle, Robert Susz and his Continental Blues Party, Jimi Hocking, Nick Charles and Anni Piper.

It’s a huge lineup and this year you can buy tickets for $180, $145 for early birds and now also a $100 ticket for 16-25, $80 for early birds. If all that jazz isn’t enough for you, there’s also a chance to enjoy quality wines and gourmet foods.
