Urthboy Phones Home

Urthboy has done rather well in recent years. While he originally made a name for himself as part of the Herd (and the guy running Elefant Traks), he's now three albums into his solo career and the acclaim keeps rolling in. Spitshine, his latest effort, was released late 2009 and saw Urthboy touring throughout the country. The LP was also shortlisted for the 2009 Australian Music Prize and received plenty of radio play on Triple J. The whole thing proved so popular Urthboy is now back on the road.

Only a few months since he wrapped up his original Spitshine tour, Urthboy is back on the road for another national jaunt. He's got vocalist Jane Tyrrell, DJ/producer Elgusto and Mantra supporting him on what has been dubbed the 'Sneakquel'. With three acclaimed albums to his name (not to mention the Herds back catalogue), Urthboy is one of the country's most prolific hip hops.
