Lipstick lesbian connotations aside, the last time I sucked lemon was when I gave my girlfriend an "I told you so" remark after the shit car she bought broke down. She left me roadside when the tow truck came and I had to walk the Western Ring Road until the cops picked me up THEN gave me a fine for being in a no-pedestrian zone.

Tried it this morning so I could formulate a response. Did while listening to 'Everything in its Right Place' by Radiohead - which contains the lyrics, "Yesterday I woke up sucking a lemon". Certainly, did squint the eyes and worked down the throat a couple of slippery pips...

My 7 year old dared me about a year ago. To suck a lemon or get the washing off the line! When was it that the kids told me what to do????

every morning when I leave my house, I take a lemon from the tree kindly. Squeeze it open in my hand and softly suck the juicy tendrils inside. The lemon screams at me.
"Don't tickle us!
We're still sleepy."
So I kiss it good bye, place it back upon the tree, and hope that tomorrow they wake up in a sweeter mood
