Most notorious for breakout single Advanced in 2006, which rapidly became one of the year’s anthems with the help of Tiesto, it was quickly claimed as the anthem of Trance Energy. Also well-regarded as a defining force in the tech-trance sound alongside the likes of fellow Dutch DJs Marco V and Richard Durrand, his last appearance in Australia was at Godskitchen in 2010. A solo tour from the man is long overdue – and one is on its way with Marcel Woods doing three Australian shows near the end of January.
