M-Phazes Good Gracious!
Music News
M-Phazes debut album is finally here. Sort of. Although it’s not officially in shops until February 26, there are boxes and boxes of it in a warehouse, waiting for fans of local hip hop to hand over their cash/money.
One of the most respected producers in Australia, the Melbourne based M-Phazes has worked with damn near everyone. Locally, he’s produced for acts like Bless N Eso, Class A, Bertie Blackman and a whole lot of others. Internationally, he’s provided material for heavyweights like Amerie, Pharoahe Monch and Lloyd Banks.
Having shopped his talent around for the last several years, M-Phazes has finally gotten around to doing his own thing. The album, ‘Good Gracious’, not only features all the production that was too hot to sell, it’s got a star studded line-up of guests. The first single, ‘Goodbye Gravity’, features Muph & Plutonic and is out now. Other featured acts include 13th Son, Drapht, Mantra, Spit Syndicate, Pegz, Phrase and Delta.
While M-Phazes is a regular down at the Prince in St Kilda, expect an official launch party to be announced with the quickness. In the meantime, you may want to watch this classic YouTube piece from M-Phazes and his Dirty 30 production CD.
