Low Budget Libertines

By Mikolai on Friday the 29th of January 2010

The Fitzroy hip hop massive are taking over Miss Libertines on Wednesday February 17 for Flow Lab. Low Budget, Class A and Julez are holding it down for the 3065 postcode. They're joined by a couple of guests from Western Australia, Able and DJ A.I.M.

Around since 2005, Low Budget have been doing crazy stupid things in the studio. Comprised of Debonair P and Gentleman Gene, they've adopted a more sample based, electronic sound than their Australian hip hop contemporaries. 'Lasersdisc', their debut album, was released last year to plenty of acclaim and they've supported pretty much everyone ever.

Class A and Julez are not only local supports, they're 'Fiztroyalty'.... hahahahah /dies … Seriously though, the pair can be be found playing shows around town on any given weekend and both have numerous releases under their belt. Class A even has a brand new single / video out called 'Fitzroy'.

With a couple of left coast guests along for the ride (AIM won MC of The Year at the Perth Dance Music Awards in 2009), it's a great showcase of local and national talent.

Flow Lab takes place at Miss Libertines on Wednesdays February 17.
