2005, London, some random, illegal warehouse party. 'Daft Punk Is Playing At My House' brought the house down. Purchased the album the very next day!

"Daft Punk is Playing at My House" heard on one of those Sat/Sun morn video hits shows - was trying so hard to get into it but could not - then LCD SS followed up with next single, etc not to mention James Murphy's mix CD and the rest is history - the band/artist are amazing - rock on!!

...my shiny-skinned friend and I walked into a happy-house rave party full of jealous lovers, North American scum and drum machines brandishing cow bells. The scene was happenin’ and a bunch of internet seekers - who were actually really, really nice - were swapping their turntables for guitars and their guitars for turntables. Someone great came up to us and said Daft Punk were playing at his house and that he had to set them up… set them up... We all looked up at the night sky to heard cosmic beats coming from inner space... but and someone great was gone...

I was at a gig at the Corner in early 2008, and North American Scum came on between the close of the Smallgoods excellent set and the beginning of Spoon's. My brother said "This band is freakin' awesome' and I could only agree. Bought the alum the next day and I can't wait for the arrival of the new one.

Well I do remember the first time I heard "all my friends", now that was a very strange time in my life indeeed...This is a Great song and how much this song already confirms what I already knew, that I do not have and really do not need a notion of "friends". But getting back to that moment, it was a creative period with the usual creativity enhances.
