Lavazza Italian Film Festival

The Lavazza Italian Film Festival brings to Italian lovers and film buffs a selection of comedies, dramas, thrillers and documentaries screening at the beloved Palace Cinemas around Melbourne from Wednesday 22 September to Sunday 10 October.

On show are 25 films, mostly contemporary, that have been chosen from the Venice, Berlin, Rome and Cannes film festivals.

Several highlights of the festival include the opening night gala for the Australian premier of La Nostra Vita, as well as the Australian premier of Baaria. For those that are interested in Italian film past and present there is a panel discussion after What Do You Know About Me? Or if you're feeling nostalgic, the festival will be wrapped up with a screening of the classic Bicycle Thieves.

While taking in the Italian culture at your local Palace cinema you can also take in a glass of prosecco or limoncello, now that's la dolce vita!

More information, including film times and tickets, can be found on line at http://www.italianfilmfestival.com.au/tickets/melbourne/
