InnerSpeaker

Music News

Perth’s stunning sonic wanderers Tame Impala have finally set May 21 as the release date for their hotly anticipated debut album, InnerSpeaker (via Modular).

The album was recorded and produced by the band's own Kevin Parker with Death In Vegas’s Tim Holmes on the engineer duties, in an enormous mansion with 180 degree views of the Indian Ocean in the middle of buttfuck nowhere a few hours south of Perth. It was then mixed in a completely different kind of nowhere, a log cabin surrounded by snow and deer in upstate New York, by renowned sonic maverick Dave Fridmann (MGMT / Flaming Lips).

To support the release, Tame Impala, one of Australia’s most exciting new bands, will tour the country, playing The Forum on Friday May 21. Tickets go on sale Thursday March 18 and those purchasing tickets will have the opportunity to pre-order the album with tickets purchased to the May National Tour.
